Alright lovelies welcome to my blog thankyou for joining me here!
I had travel plans in a few weeks and figured I'd want to discuss with you guys the essentials I always take with me , my beauty must haves and convienient products or multitasking ones.
Lets hop into it! :) Hopefully i can help a sister out!
Starting out with my base products ,
Moisturiser : Im a dry skin girl , I need all the moisture one can have, I usually like to pack 2 moisturizers with me, one with spf for daytime or for priming my face for makeup for the daytime looks and another one for my nightime skincare routine. My daycream is the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture for combination skin with spf15 and I top it with a regular spf from neutrogena which is a stronger spf50 dual spectrum. It's a lightweight non greasy formula, appropriate for daytime wear and under makeup. For my nightime skincare before bed I take with me my Natio Aromatherapy natural moisturising cream infused with Vit E. It is a cream and therefore a denser more creamy formula.
Eye Cream : I usually just stick to one under eye cream which is my Natio under-eye hydrating cream. It is always a good step to sortof go an extra mile for your skin for a happy makeup application.
Face Oil : I don't use makeup primer therefore I must apply a subtle something for my makeup to go on smoothly so I take my Swisse skincare Argan Face Oil. I also have the cranberry oil but the argan is more hydrating and takes lesser time to sink in. I put on a small amount a couple minutes before putting on foundation as I feel like it helps smoothen my skin texture or curb any dry patches.
It isnt necessary but if you have a face oil or face serum at hand, just pack it with you! :)
Serum : I also prep my skin with the Tarte Maracuja oil if Im not using my argan oil. I like to pack this with me if im doing my makeup for a special event or a wedding as it helps give my skin a glow that peeks through the usually matte foundations that I put on top so it helps keep me dewy without the greasyness and has skincare benefits!
Foundation : Alright coming to the fun part, I usually pack 2 foundations with me : One has to be a full coverage full beat glam foundation for my full coverage days ( bassically erryday) or for when theres photography involved. I prefer my Kat Von D Lock it or my Milani conceal and perfect. Both are great full coverage options! Another one I take with me is my Maybelline Fit me Matte and Poreless as it is a satin finish medium coverage for days when I can spot conceal. I dont take with me any bb creams or tinted balms as I usually dont reach for those when Im travelling, those are for my day to day uni / errand routine.
Concealer : I pack my Maybelline master conceal or my MAC Prolongwear concealer, theyre both great full coverage under-eye concealers.
Eyeshadow Palettes : This is my weakness and Im not even sorry. If youve known me for anytime now, You know I love my palettes. Its not practically possible for me to pack just one and call it a day. your girl needs 4 or more to be functional. Okay, so this was hard but when I really think about it I need one neutral palette, one neutral-colorful palette and one which is for specific looks. So I pick my TOO Faced Sweet Peach as it is a great warm-neutral plus a little pop of fun thrown in there. The formula isnt my favourite but is workable and I like the shade selection! good travel companion. I also would take my Morphe 25B Bronzed Mocha as it is a holy grail must have, my MOST used and abused palette. Ive nearly hit pan on some shades , I use it everyday no joke and it has all the variations of browns I need for my mattes. It has 4-5 amazing quality shimmers , you do not even need to wet or foil them! It's everything. The third one would be ofcourse my HudaBeauty Rose Gold Palette. I cannot stop using that one! Those are my favourite shades to play with I absolute use the hell out of mine!
Liner and Mascara : I take with me my Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer. It;s a great quality pencil liner.
For mascara, I pack my Maybelline Big Shot mascara or my Too Faced Better Than Sex. I would prefer my maybelline one as it doesnt flake or smudge on me like the TF one does, It lasts longer.
Contour palette : For my contour palette I think I'd rather pack my Maybelline Master contour over my Kat Von D shade and light one simply because when Im travelling I dont need 6 different powders. I barely even use 2. Id rather save space and pack a little lightweight palette that has a neutral toned bronzer, a shimmery blush and a highlighter. It's decent quality, not the greatest but a mediocre travel palette.
Blush : For blush, it's hard to pick one colour but as I already usually have a blush shade in my contour palette I take a different colour in order to have some degree of variation. I like to be spoiled with choices. JK. I would take my Milani powder blush in Romantic Rose. It's a dusty pink muted almost nude blush works great with any look!
Highlighter : I could take all of them tbh, but as I cannot , y'all know I cant do with just one. I atleast need 2 minimum or 3. ( we see a theme here yet?) I love to travel with my MAC soft and gentle , its a great everyday highlight goes with any look and is very flattering. I also take my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid In Opal! I unfortunately cannot travel with my Becca pressed highlighters as they are very prone to shattering. I like to mix the liquid one with my foundation or apply it directly. Im also planning to take my new Huda Beauty 3d highligter palette to test it out and to have some more variety in my bag!
Lipsticks : I could do a whole another post about this dear god.. I can simply say Im probably taking around 15 if not more lipsticks with me wherever I go for more than a week. So I guess I could list a few names of my staples here : All of my MAC mattes : Velvet Teddy, Mehr, Ruby Woo, Lady Danger, Mangrove, D for Danger to name a few. I also really like my Maybelline matte lipsticks in shades Touch Of Spice and Divine Wine.
Setting Spray : I can never not finish my makeup with my MAC fix plus! It's a must have ride or die :)
Bag : I usually take my Sephora black and white bag that fits all of these items and if i want something bigger, I go for a random pink bag which is sturdy and heavy duty and keeps items safe! :)
Alright that's it thankyou for reading !!! xo :)
